SOLSC 17/31 #sol15

The wind was whipping my face, back, legs.  Good thing I brought my long heavy scarf. The line for the wake was long.  I waited outside for an hour and half, with my not-winter coat, no gloves, dressy shoes.  A long winding line of friends and colleagues, waiting to see Jane one last time, but especially to let her family know that Jane was a special person, that she had a beautiful smile that lit up a room, that we will miss her too.

  1. This is a wait worth going through. The good-bye is important, and caring friends are such an encouragement to a grieving family. It is a comfort to know that others loved your loved one, too.
